Location: North West, West Midlands, UK

Overview of the Service Engineer Role

As the Service Engineer, you will be joining an international market leader within the medical device reprocessing industry. My client invests heavily in their staff and you will get the chance to grow your skills with numerous training and development courses and increase the value of your expertise within the sector. As the Service Engineer for my client, you can comfortably expect to earn another £5,000- £10,000 on top of your basic salary. This company has an excellent reputation in the marketplace and is a ‘must have’ your career portfolio.

The Responsibilities of the Service Engineer

  • You will be responsible for the service and breakdown of the company’s full range of sterilization and reprocessing equipment across the North West and West Midlands region.

  • Completing quarterly and annual validation of the company’s equipment

  • You will be working remotely from home on a week to week diary, with breakdown call-outs within your region

  • Covering from Birmingham to Manchester, you will be based along or close to the M6 to allow for efficient and mobile access to all customers

  • You will be expected to work 1 weekend every quarter due to market demands

Who You will be to Apply for the Service Engineer Position

  • You should have 3 years + Field Engineer experience within the medical device industry

  • You’ll need electromechanical education at HNC level upwards OR Electrical Engineering HNC upwards who is open to learning Mechanical

  • Some experience within decontamination/sterilization industry would be advantageous.

  • Medical Engineer experience within hospitals is also important but not essential if someone has the right attitude and mentality

  • You’ll be a motivated individual with good communication skills when dealing with medical staff
