Job Description of the field service medical engineer:
We are looking for an entry level engineer to come and join our expanding and well established company which is one of the largest independent medical imaging support companies in Europe. The role involves performing the routine preventative maintenance visits on the systems and to attend and rectify any breakdowns as and when they occur. In addition the engineer will be required to perform some repair work within our workshop. Most importantly engineers are representatives of the company and as such are expected to convey and demonstrate the company's views and philosophy to the customer at all times.
Candidate Must Have's for the field service medical engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Proven practical experience
- Ideally based in Herts/Essex/Beds/Bucks/Northantshire
- Design Engineering Qualifications (HNC Minimum)
- Excellent organisational and design skills.
Candidate Nice to have's for the field service medical engineer:
- Be able to promote internally
- Knowledge of Quality standards
- Able to write procedures
- AutoCAD experience would be an advantage
We are an independent service organisation that specialises in the maintenance and servicing of Radiology equipment. This takes place within Hospital environments throughout the UK, in Europe and in some other Countries around the World. The majority of the business is within Nuclear Medicine (NM) and the support of gamma cameras and associated workstations in addition to providing service support for certain mobile X-ray systems. The Company and its employees will do whatever it takes to provide the customer with an excellent, customer-oriented service.
In order to fulfil this we will only take on the service of a system for which our engineers are fully trained, and for which we maintain all spare parts and test equipment in the UK and we have a system test rig within our workshop so that we can repair system components and fully test them. We are ISO9000 accredited and hence all our workshop repair work is quality controlled.
