My client is looking for a Chief Technology Officer to set the path for the further software product development. As Chief Technology Officer, you will work closely with the management /founding team to scale their medical software. 

Their product is used analysing and evaluate patient abilities remotely, which is usually done by physicists. The challenge in this role will be to establish integrative solutions with partner platforms and develop the next product generation with new AI-based diagnostic capabilities.

My client is growing rapidly with a CE mark as class Im Software as a device according to MDD. Currently they are a team of 10, covering R&D, RAQA and Operations. The developing team consists of 3 developers. 

Your responsibilities
  • Architecture design and development supervision of digital health software and software as medical devices 
  • Specification and implementation of data API's (e.g. FHIR, HL7)
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation 
  • Lead and grow a distributed, interdisciplinary  development team
  • Lead collaboration/integration projects with clinical and platform partners
You Offer Us
  • University or college degree in a science related field
  • 5 years+ working experience, preferably in development of software as a medical device
  • Experience with software architecture and development of medical devices
  • Experience with signal processing, computer vision and machine learning approaches
  • Fluent in .NET/C# and C++
  • Ability to write data exchange APIs using established medical standards and web protocols 
  • Hands on knowledge of data security and privacy practices 
  • Practical knowledge of medical device regulations (MDD/MDR) and standards (ISO 13485, 21CFR820, IEC 62304)
  • Experience in leading an agile development team
  • Ability to communicate with non-experts and medical experts in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Fluent language skills in English and at least basic skills in German
A Plus but not essential
  • Fluent in Python
  • Hands on experience in the use of 3D cameras (e.g. Intel Realsense, Microsoft Kinect, Apple LiDAR)
  • Experience in mobile development (iOS/Android)
  • Berlin based
