Bio
Charles Kyriakou has been in the recruitment industry since January 2014 starting as an Apprentice working within the Healthcare sector. Charles was offered the opportunity 6 months into his apprenticeship to start a new cold desk recruiting locum nurses and ODP’s into private hospitals across the UK. After doing this for two and a half years, he felt like he’d hit a glass ceiling and wanted more from the job, rather than just booking shifts… Charles found himself becoming too comfortable and decided to jump out of the comfort zone and do something that is a little more commercial and take a leap into the next step of his career.   
 
Success
On the 4th of July 2016, Charles started the best chapter of his personal and professional life with Projectus Consulting. Eleven months into the job, Charles became the first person in the company’s history to sell their most premium retained service, ‘Projectus Edge’ and was promoted to Senior Consultant. Charles has won best newcomer of the year 2016, best business developer of the year 2017, where he was promoted to Transatlantic Business Development Manager, helping Projectus break into the North American Market.
 
In 2018 Charles was promoted again to International Sales Manager of team Uro-Care (He built a niche within Urology and the team covered patient care and critical care markets across EMEA & US). Charles also won Best Deal of the Year 2018 & Best business developer of the year 2018. In (2019) was his 3rd Presidents club in a row as well.
 
Expertise
The sectors Charles has had a speciality/excellent network would be surgery, endoscopy, urology, ob/gyn, GI, decontamination, infection control, critical care and patient care. The roles he has worked on can range from area sales manager, product manager, clinical applications/specialist, training roles all the way up to director/VP level roles.
 
 
Personal Life
A keen martial artist and recreational combat sports athlete, Charles had a white-collar MMA fight for cancer research in which he raised a whopping £1000 for charity and had 2 Muay Thai Interclub Fights. In his spare time, Charles ran his own Mind-Coaching business www.IronMind-Coaching.com and work side by side with his local Thai Boxing coach to help develop the best mindset possible for everyone at his club in Potters Bar as well as their fitness and martial arts ability (WMT Thai Boxing).
 
Alongside the mind coaching, Charles is a huge advocate for Mental Health Awareness and has been on numerous podcasts talking about mindset and overcoming mental health problems. Charles also became a Champion for the Mental Health In Recruitment organisation to remove the awful mental health stigma within the Recruitment Industry. Finally, Charles and his colleague/friend had launched their own podcast “Talking Med-Tech” where they share medical device-related stories and interview people within this incredible industry of Medical Technology.
